Our Mission
The project supports youth and women in Eastern Uganda to establish climate-resilient coffee farms by providing starter kits including beehives, coffee and tree seedlings. The project promotes agroforestry to restore degraded land, enhance biodiversity, and strengthen the climate resilience.
Working with local communities to restore degraded forests through native tree planting, biodiversity monitoring, and long-term stewardship, creating healthier habitats for red pandas and other native species.
The Balcones Tejas Bioregional Club believes that ecological restoration and community belonging are the same project, seen from two angles. Money raised in this campaign will go directly toward establishing a Bioregional Learning Center at the Dome in Driftwood, TX, a home for watershed educatio...
Help Transform Palm Oil Plantations into Food-Producing Rainforests to Save the Sumatran Orangutan
La Ferme du Cerf Bleu is an 18th-century farm on 8 hectares in the Sanvigne valley near Étivey, in the Yonne, Burgundy. Our land lies within the close protection zone (périmètre de protection rapproché) of the town's drinking water source. What we plant here, and what we keep off this soil, reach...
A Conference of Landstewards on 26 April 2025 nominated a 19-person organising committee, which was then trained across four minuted sessions and drafted bylaws across three more. The bylaws were read aloud in full and adopted at a public assembly on 2 August 2025. The operative rule is that one decimal of land — approximately 0.025 acres — constitutes one share and one vote, and that the wetland ecosystem is recognised as a shareholder in her own right.
Consultation ran at household scale from June 2024, before any structure or plan existed. Project records report Neighbourhood Kinship Dialogues completed in 13 of 28 zones, engaging more than 100 residents; seven of those sittings are minuted here, alongside sixteen individual landowner interviews. The output is a recorded statement of what residents said they valued and what they said had been lost, attributable to named households.
The field notes record seven springs still used by residents for water collection, distributed across three zones: two in Kiwaatule Central, three in Kigoowa and two in Balintuma. The relational cards record the specific contamination pathway — pit latrines dug to five feet reach the springs — and that buildings have been constructed over the water. This is a located, countable asset that a later survey can be checked against.
A participatory mapping programme ran from an inception meeting on 8 September 2025 to a dissemination meeting on 22 November 2025, carried out with the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development. It produced a hand-drawn community map, a digital map, field notes and a field data report. The findings recorded are specific and locatable, and together they constitute the baseline against which any later claim of damage or recovery in this corridor can be measured.
